I have to admit I have spent a good amount of time in my lulu lately. Oops. But when I do, I still love to look the part, and this Current/Elliott Letterman print top is helping a great deal achieve that. Really. I love the army green color, and the leopard print; it's like camo and leopard had a baby. Ha! Layer it with the Lululemon Mantra top (pictured here) to add length to it. LOVE. I'm wearing a size 2.
Every woman should own a pair of K Jacques sandals. Every woman should own a pair of metallic sandals. Every woman should get this pair of K Jacques Epicure multi-strap metallic leather sandals. They are effortlessly chic, timelessly classic, and will dress up *any* (casual) summer dress or short shorts. Bonus point: K Jacques sandals are sturdy, and age really really well. Don't look twice and get them while they're still available. You'll thank me later.
Love love love this sweater. The Peace Love World I Am Happy Oversized Comfy Raglan in Grey is your typical oversized sweater to wear on weekends when you don't want to dress up but still want to look cute, and a bit edgy. It's lightweight, cozy and will put a smile on someone's face. Because who doesn't like to read a good plain: "i am happy"? In yellow, to boot.
PS: We love love love the thumbholes and the off-the-shoulder look, when we feel sassy.
PPS: Get the XS/S size. It's plenty oversized.
PPPS: Kourtney Kardashian owns it. So should you.
I may get the Henry & Belle Super Skinny Ankle Jean in Onyx next because these jeans are comfier than my favorite black skinny jeans and more put together than regular black leggings. And it doesn't hurt that Halle Berry is wearing them, too.
New Laundry by Shelli Segal zipped shirred dress. Love the emerald green color, the fancy neckline, and the exposed yellow gold zippers. And the jersey fabric is great, too. Comfy and wrinkle-free.
Thinking of styling it with my nude Jimmy Choo and a cream cardigan. I'm all set for that fancy wedding this weekend. Wooo!
Lululemon strikes again. I love this Om Your Heart scarf. The fabric is soft and ultra light, the dot pattern is fun, and the infinity loop style is just perfect: I double it up when I want it to keep me warm, or I just wear it as a 'long necklace' when I want to accessorize a classic tee or tank top. Love.
Lightweight, fitted, long, versatile and on sale. What else do you need to push the buy button? The My Mantra top is a lululemon staple that you'll wear over and over to work out and go out. And it's reversible, too.
I got the Tart Galena dress last winter and I wore the hell out of it. It's the perfect little black dress for any event. In fact, you'll never look overdressed nor underdressed when wearing it; it's perfection. It hugs the body beautifully thanks to its stretchy fabric, the length is perfect, and the details are different yet discreet: I love the zipper detail at shoulder and the ruched sides. And you can pack it and take it wherever you go, it won't wrinkle. Order it before it sells out!
So, let me be clear. I love food--I can't go for more than four hours without eating something. I love chocolate. I love coffee. I can't be on a diet for more than four hours. And, I have never been on a master cleanse. But for some reasons, I thought it'd be a good idea to do one. Everyone who has been on a cleanse has told me it's a good way to reset your diet, detox your body, clear your mind, and that you'll feel *amazing* at the end of those three days. So I put my order in. Then, I started sharing this with friends, and they either thought I was totally nuts, or they'd tell me that the first three days are the hardest and that I should go on a 10-day cleanse instead. GREAT!
Erin, the owner of the The Dailey Method-Menlo Park, has done this cleanse many times over. Back in July 2011, I emailed her to get her feedback on how her first cleanse went--because I needed more than a 'you'll feel amazing afterwards' to get on the BluePrintCleanse wagon. Nine months later, I'm finally doing it. Better late than never, right? Read on while I'm drinking juice #3 today. Btw, so far so good.
So, this is my first cleanse. I've never been one to give up anything in the food department. I once gave up carbs for 24 hours and almost passed out on a bike ride the next day. Hence, I sort of live by the "everything in moderation" motto. I've never not had real food for this long and at times (esp dinner time) it's rough. At other times (like right now) it's totally fine. I did the most extreme option (excavation) which has the least amount of calories and sugar and the least variety in terms of juices. If you do the other 2 levels you have 3 green juices, a lemonade and a cashew milk PLUS a pineapple or beet juice. This level has 4 greens, the lemonade and the cashew milk. I drink kale and mango smoothies in the morning anyway so I figured if I'm going to go for it, I'll go for the full detox. In hindsight I may have done level 2. I think the green juice is ok but a few people doing the cleanse now can barely choke it down.
My goal in the cleanse is to detox...and to see if I have the willpower to stick to it for 3 days. I'm not doing it to lose weight...just to reset my body. I have been on a bit of a sugar binge lately (think Pinkberry, Fraiche, Trader Joe's dark chocolate covered almonds, etc.) I do feel pretty great in terms of energy. I was expecting to feel really tired but I don't at all. That being said, I'm not going out and running 10 miles either. Just doing TDM classes and taking it easy and so far so good. I think the challenge is picking a 3 day period when you don't have other stuff going on. I scored this week b/c my husband is away so that made it much easier to not be tempted. Although sadly even feeding Ava dinner made me hungry! Each night after I had the cashew milk (protein and fat) I felt much better. Last night, I had finished all 6 juices by 5:45 pm but wasn't hungry the rest of the night.
I'm curious to see how I feel tomorrow and as I re-incorporate different foods into my diet. I think this is something I could do once a quarter to mentally and physically reset things. It makes you appreciate food. That's for sure. Now even just a simple salad sounds delish. Will I give up Fraiche and red wine? Not likely. But I'm hoping that my body won't crave the sugar like it does now. We'll see!
Let me know if you decide to do it. We may make TDM a regular pick up location.
When buying anything that has a pattern on it, you should check that that pattern matches at the seem, or look good on you. I tried many of the same exact same H&M dress to find the one whose floral pattern looked good on me, and the same happened when I tried on the lululemon manifesto top. Because do you want the word LOVE to read upside down? Exactly!
I went to Lululemon to check out what they had for the spring, and I did some damage (but of course!) I love a cozy white tee, and I love the lululemon manifesto, hence I had to try the lululemon manifesto long sleeve top in white. How cute is it? I'm planning to wear this top with a white tank top or one of their colourful raceback tanks underneath; I am wearing the Ta Ta Tamer in bright pink in the picture.
I'm at Starbucks, wearing my favorite lululemon top--also known as the Run: Turn Around top in charcoal grey, and what do I see? A lady wearing this exact same top in neon pink. I want! I get all excited at the idea that lululemon released this sold-out top in new colours for the spring. Until I talked to the lady (who happens to work at lulu) and she tells me she got it months ago. I CANNOT wait for the day they have this top again. I'll buy it in all colours, and then some...Who's with me?
I love this Voyage Jet Set tee; the color, the Twiggy graphic, the It Girl messaging. It's so perfectly perfect, it has become my go-to v-neck tee to wear on weekends with distressed jeans, or with a blazer when I want to add a pop of bright color to a more formal outfit. Throw yours on and go!
Okay, that's stating the obvious. But don't you want to say it one more time with this fffabulous Voyage Jet Set tee? Love the v-neck, the cream color and the fancy Anna Wintour graphic. A must-have if you ask me.
Spring is here, flowers are blooming, and flower patterns are blossoming everywhere: pants, shorts, dresses, you name it, it's on there. I spotted this floral dress at the H&M store last weekend, and thought it was so fun and so perfect for spring; I had to have it. I love the classic shape/big flower pattern combo, and that it's made of thick jersey (read: it's only slightly stretchy.) And for $24.95? Hello! I'm wearing a size S in the picture. Note to self: Never ever get out of the house without make-up on. Ever.
fffabulous tip: Not all flower patterns are created equal; so try a few of the same dress, and pick the 'flower arrangement' that looks best on you.
That's the name of this dress, and we love it. This Bailey 44 dress is all around fffabulous. Love the off-shoulder/form-hugging style, the stretchy fabric, and the draping done right; and the teal color is superb. Style it with the Jimmy Choo Private pumps in nude, and you're ready for one fffabulous party. <3
LINE The Travel Companion blanket sweater is your perfect travel companion. Literally. I am surprised I've never run into one of these 'sweaters' in the past; such a cool concept! First, I love the lightweight cashmere. You don't feel it yet it keeps you warm and cozy. Second, it's stylish—it's just as flowy as a cardiwrap and has nice button details at sleeves, real buttons. Last but not least, it's three things in one. Wear is as a cardigan (pictured here), as a scarf, or unbutton it and wear it as a pashmina. Who said you can't travel in style?
Another Wildfox tee I love, love, love. Love the light pink color, the mild distressing at the v-neck, and the tagline is so cute—French and Italian words have never mixed together so beautifully. Wear this tee as is, or layer it with a white tank top. Oh, I can't wait for summer to be here. So ready!!
I love to mix and match casual and formal clothes when I go out. So, the other night, I decided to wear my brand new Jet Set Champagne 1976 tee with a black blazer/black skinny jeans/black booties. Cute, huh? This tee is so versatile. Love, love it.
I just got this Voyage Jet Set Beverly Hills Champagne 1976 tee. I love its cream color and the pink design on the front, and the fact that this tee goes with absolutely everything. Wear it with any heather grey/charcoal grey/black/taupe cardi, or a black blazer when you go out.
Pictured here with the Line The Travel Companion blanket sweater. Get them both at Bella Rosa Boutique. <3
I thought I'd post a picture of me wearing the Elizabeth and James Kurt leather jacket, because the pictures online don't do it justice. This jacket is truly unique, and so versatile. I dress it up with dark skinny jeans and heels at night, and dress it down with my J Brand jeggings and Fiorentini and Baker boots. Love!
