stylish black pumps

Vicky indulged in a fffabulous pair of black pumps for the winter, and it didn't take long before she shared this fffabulous news with me. She was so excited!

These Burberry Logo Plaque Mary Jane pumps are made of black patent leather (so trendy!), have a nice stiletto heel and are kind of pointy (but not too much, though), and they'll look just great with a little black dress or designer jeans.

They look very similar to the Manolo Blahnik Mary Jane pumps except they are much cheaper, and they are also just as comfortable as the Dior pumps we both have (!). What's not to like, seriously?

Neiman Marcus is already running out of sizes, so you better get them while they last! They do fit true to size, btw!

fffaqs: should I get these coclico miner boots?

Hey Miss fffabulous,

I was actually hoping I could get your opinion on a pair of boots! I found them when I was checking out those booties you listed the other day, and I have not been able to stop thinking about them. Thanks so much for your email and for reading fffabulous!!! I checked out these Coclico Miner Boots, and I think you should totally get them!!! Here is why (it's always good to be rational in those moments, right?): 1. flat boots are SO in this season, you'll get to wear them ALL the time; and the cool thing about flat boots is that you'll be able to run around without them ever hurting your feet or back; 2. suede is in this season, too; 3. I love the gold hardware detail on the side; this gives it a nice touch; 4. The price is really good (and it's on sale too!); I don't think you'll find another pair of boots like these ones at that price anywhere else. I'd get them if I were you!

It's always good to realize it when you've made a great purchase! And it makes me think that it may as well be my next LV investment. Aaaaaah! Here is Miss Erica's fffeedback on her fffabulous Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Keepall 55 with Shoulder Strap:

"Now that I have FINALLY traveled, I am happy to say that my Louis Keepall 55 has been put into good use. I can fit a LOT of stuff in there: clothes, toiletries, hats (I prefer to bring hats in my carry-on to avoid bending them in my check-in luggage), books, electronics, other mini purses (which I also don't want to crease or bend up in my check-in), AND my laptop case (which is pretty bulky). That said, I am very thankful that I have the one with the shoulder strap, since it is an absolute necessity for the size of this bag and how much weight it can hold. It all depends on what you pack, however. I am not afraid to overstuff my Louis just because I know it won't fail on me—such as ripping, tearing, or having the zipper break. (Come on, now! Louis just DON'T do that!). But because of that, it can get a little heavy, but nothing that I can't handle (and I've traveled overseas with it). I also recommend it because it lets you max out the carry-on baggage limit; plus, you look pretty fly in the airport with it hanging on your shoulder ;-). Now I just need to use it more so that the leather can age!!"

I have found the perfect pair of booties for this winter, and although they are totally out of the ordinary with the cut-out over the top of the foot, I am sure I'll wear them more than I thought I would initially. Those Loeffler Randall Yvette Cut-Out Booties are first of all extremely comfortable, and the 4.25" leather-covered heel with its 1" hidden platform is very stable (oops, here I am looking like a giant once again!). Who would have thought I would talk about yet another pair of jeans? And who would have thought I would ever wear a pair of skinny jeans? Not me! what a fffabulous year!

fffabulous.com is celebrating it's one year anniversary of blogging about fashion, beauty, or other fffun stuff today, and, man, it's been such an amazing year! Or should I say it's been fffabulous?

First and foremost, I enjoyed shopping at romi boutique and BellaRosa boutique—just to name a few—to find the coolest and sexiest clothes and shoes around. It's been fun to tell you all about my fffashionista endeavors! I also want thank all of you for all your great comments (each and everyone one of them made my day and kept me going), as well as all of my friends who inspired me to try new things, such as fffabulous guy week (thanks Ivan!), fffabulous baby week (thanks Gauri and baby Arianna!), the fffaqs (thanks Bterkup and Hil!), and the ffface-a-ffface interviews (thanks Melanie!).

louis vuitton trousse toilette

This is my very latest Louis Vuitton acquisition, and I did really ask myself several times before getting it: 'But, do I really need it?'. After all, it is $475 + tax, and shouldn't I save up to buy the Chanel purse of my life instead? Well, part of me thought that I should (save for that Chanel purse, that is), and another part of me thought that 1. this Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Trousse Toilette 25 is one fffabulous accessory; 2. if I end up using it (and loving it) as much as my Louis Vuitton Pochette Cosmétique, I totally should get it as it would be well worth it; 3. my toiletry bag at the time was too big, too old, too passé, and I could definitely use a new one. Plus, Louis Vuitton accessories are not only beautiful, they are also very practical, and their designs are carefully thought through. This LV Trousse Toilette has a wraparound zipper for easy access to bottles of shampoo, shower gel, etc.; it has an interior textile lining to allow for easy clean-up if there is ever any spillage (and there will be); and it has an interior zip pocket to keep your rings, earrings, and other small stuff safe and separate from the other bigger stuff. And it did help that my friend Masami brought up another very good, practical point: I will always find good use for this LV Trousse Toilette whether I use it to carry all my personal necessities when I travel, or whether I need to carry all my power cords and battery chargers for all the devices I own and possess with me at all times–I see Masami seeing great things coming up for me because if I use this LV Trousse Toilette for chargers and such, it means that I am now using the Louis Vuitton Boite Flacons. I like that!

Ultimately, I thought that I would use this Louis endlessly; if I bought it, I would never have to buy another pochette of this size for the rest of my life–so, I got it! And the other cool thing about getting it is that I had to make it a home in my bathroom cabinet, so it made me organize all my bathroom stuff. I know this will put a smile on my mum's face because she'll think this is one big price tag to tidy up one's cabinet! Hey, you've got to do what you've got to do!

chanel vamp

Since we're on the nail polish topic, and because it is probably the cheapest thing I do feature on fffabulous.com, let's keep going and talk about one fffabulous brand (Chanel) and one even more fffabulous nail polish color (Chanel Vamp).

I absolutely love Chanel nail polish: it is classy just by itself with its squarish bottle and its classic black top/lid; it is very resistant for the strong women we are (ha!); it comes in all sorts of amazing colors, including limited edition colors (gold fiction anyone?); and last but not least, it makes for the perfect gift, too! Heidi gave me the Chanel Midnight Red for Christmas, and I thought it was so sweet and such a genius and classy gift idea!!!

But I digress...I do love wearing Chanel Vamp more than I should. And this is probably one of the only colors I love to wear on my finger nails, too (it makes me feel like I have magic powers then–funny huh?). The Vamp burgundy color is deep and sublime; the shimmer in it gives it some light–it won't look like a blast from the past from your teenage dark years—and you'll just feel fffabulous and like a true lady when wearing it...a lady with magic fingers that is!

who comes up with these names?

I love choosing a new nail polish color when I go to the nail salon for a mani/pedi. And I am always curious to see what fancy name that color has. Don't you? I used to be addicted to the OPI Oh To Be 25 Again! chocolate color, and I have recently found a bronze color that goes perfectly with my remaining tan to serve as a nice transition into the fall. And guess what the name of that color is? Who Comes Up With These Names!!! How cool is that???

Anyway, I totally fell for the OPI Who Comes Up With These Names color during my last trip to Maui, and I have been wearing it on my toes ever since. It has nice golden brown tones and just goes well with everything. And you can even attempt to do your own pedi and save a few bucks. Nice!
