I have three criteria for the swimsuits I buy for swim practice: 1. Limited coverage for minimal tan lines 2. Nice colors and patterns and 3. Resistance to wear and tear. While #1 is a prerequisite and #2 quite important for the fffashionista that I am (my swimsuits have to be blue to be in harmony with the pool environment/water), I am quite flexible on #3, because it means I will have to go swimsuit shopping more often if the swimsuits deteriorate more quickly.
