Okay, so I am totally excited to feature an amazing Hugo Boss jacket today – Hugo Boss is a brand that is very dear to my heart, since I think they make the best and most classy jackets, shirts, suits (to be featured soon), ties etc. One of my colleagues, the Profffesor (note his great sense of humor here!) bought the Hugo Boss velour jacket in black at Macy's the other day. Although I couldn't find it anywhere online, it is basically identical to the Hugo Boss Black 'Cenic' Pinstripe Blazer, except in plain black velour. Here is the Profffessor's blurb on this fffabulous and stylish jacket:
"It used to be that I never wore blazers. Too many years spent on the campuses of East Coast boarding schools and universities and I was over them. Every time I pulled one over my shoulders I once again felt like that awkward 14 year old freshman (in his blue blazer with gold buttons), trying hard to fit in with the big kids. So I was surprised when I found myself in Macy's splurging for a $500 Hugo Boss Cenic blazer. Months later, I can say that the Cenic has changed me forever. It has an easy, yet fashionably slim fit, pointed lapels, and it transforms any jeans and t-shirts into fashion statements and makes any button down shirt appear as if it was woven from the finest Egyptian cotton. At dressy dinners or in dingy pool halls, this blazer just works. My favorite part: the fabric. Black velvet herringbone. Just like a more nuanced version of your favorite Elvis portrait.
So for Father's Day, treat the man in your life to a gift which is a both a reminder of his more youthful days and an indicator of just how finely he has aged.
