the perfect little summer dress

This Raquel Allegra racerback wife beater tank dress is probably my best purchase this year. I always need a go-to versatile summer dress for my annual trip to the French Riviera. Something I can wear to the beach over a swimsuit, that transitions nicely from day to night, and that I can wear over and over without looking like a total slob... So it can't be too short nor delicate yet it has to be sexy and form hugging, and different yet classic. Well, this dress is all of that and much more. Love the tie-dye stripes pattern, the below the knee length, the scoop neckline and the racerback back. And the ribbed jersey fabric texture follows the curves just the right way. A must-buy.

This Lululemon Noir dress is better than I thought it'd be. I just can't stop wearing it. In that case, from brunch to the red carpet. <3

curves much?

I believe the only reason Lululemon would start selling dresses is because wearing them will motivate you to work out more. The Noir dress hugs your body in all the right ways; it is made of Lululemon famous sweatpant soft stretchy fabric, it is comfy, and can be worn two ways: as is / as pictured or the other way around / the back in the front. It can be hemmed to your ideal length, although I love that below the knee length. All is all, it is the perfect little black dress to dress up or dress down as you wish, and take with you on trips.

What do two friends do when they crush on the same tank top? They try it on and take selfies in the dressing room. And they end up buying it, obvi. I never thought I’d like the muscle top fit but I actually do. A lot. Get this Tyler Jacobs for Feel The Piece CRAY top at a Planet Blue store near you. <3

glam it up

...with a classic jean jacket. I was not quite sure about the wash of this Hudson Signature Jean Jacket at first, but I tried it out and it is AWESOME. To wear all year long — if you are a California girl — over a summer dress for a Napa outing, or with a black dress or black skinny jeans AND giant hoops earrings for a casual night around town. And, it's on sale for $132.99, instead of $189, on Zappos.

living the dream

I went home to change for my Kundalini yoga class, and a kitson package was waiting at my front door. My Sol Angeles Living The Dream sweater had arrived!! I usually wait a few days/weeks before wearing a newly acquired piece of clothing (I know, crazy!!) but this time around, I had to wear it right away. How cute does this sweater look on? Super extra super cute!!

when it's (pull)over, it's not really over

It should be illegal to own so many of those sweaters yet I just can't resist them. Love love love this Sol Angeles Living The Dream sweater. And the agua green / baby blue and pink combo is a nice change. Casual chic has never felt so good.

The perks of having a friend who works at Gilt Groupe. She calls you one morning to get your shoe size, and next thing you know, she shows up in SF with one fffabulous gift: Red Valentino bicolor heels and Barbara Bui strappy wedges (pictured here). These make me so happy. Thank you, Maud. <3

This TYR Zion swimsuit is fierce. I was drawn to it the minute I saw it. I did ask my most stylish BFF for her two cents though, because it's not your typical swim practice design. As soon as it was 'approved', I clicked on the BUY button. #BOOM

Another Ace Hotel Palm Springs' brilliant / cheeky tagline. All staff members are wearing this awesome P.S. I <3 U tee-shirt. How can you possibly say no to their fancy schmancy jalapeño burgers, yummy parmesan hash browns, and giant chocolate brownies then? You just can't.

Kitson has pretty much zillions of those comfy sweaters. You just have to pick the tagline that inspires you. In that case, I went for the ultra soft fabric, perfect slouchy fit, pink over black colour combo, and provocative tagline. I still have to wear my God Save LA "Good Girls Love Bad Boys" outside the house though. He!

There should be a name for those sweaters. The slouchy / ultra soft / trendy kind that we love to wear on lazy days. I shopped at Kitson on a recent trip to LA - or should I say Elle A?, and scored a couple of those sweaters to add to my 'i am happy' sweater collection. The Sol Angeles Elle A sweater is one of them. Love the (red and blue) tagline. Love the cream color. Love everything.
