I've had a crush on this pair of pendant earrings for a few years now. But I only decided to make the plunge a few weeks ago when I saw them again at the Lisa T Fine Jewelry boutique down in Los Gatos. I love the unique art déco style, the precious black onyx and diamonds combo, and the contrast against blond hair. Sold. #winning #blondshavemorefun

I am not much of a earrings type of person; I got my ears pierced at 18 only to wear my great grandma's pearls. Now, I only own a few pairs and never quite think of wearing earrings on a daily basis. This was the case until I ran into Devon Dowd Jewelry Designs. I fell for her Deb / gold filled and Swarovski crystals earrings (pictured here) from her Summer Earrings 2009 collection. These hoops earrings are classy, quite unique, and super light so you won't even notice you are wearing them. I wore mine all summer and always received compliments (accompanying the usual: you're wearing earrings?!). Another one of my favorites is the Deborah / gold filled and crystal (with one big crystal this time). Irresistible! And the best part of it all? Each piece is inspired and named after one of Devon's girlfriends. Cute!!

I thought I'd talk about one of the most fffabulous splurges I've done lately. I went to Lisa T.'s private party last May and fell for the most gorgeous chain and diamond cross pendant; but I didn't feel too bad for two reasons: 1. it is drop dead gorgeous and goes with everything; it nicely dresses up any Sharon Segal tee I wear, and it even looks great with a white tank top and sweatpants on weekends; and 2. my friend Masami bought a superb morganite (light pink) and diamond platinum cocktail ring, which she wears every single day; she  gets complimented for it all the time. So worth it!
