tiffany reversible tote

Tiffany just launched a new line of reversible totes, in suede and metallic leather, and I love it!! Nothing fancy, all very classic, practical, and they come in beautiful colors. And the price point is not bad either. I am not one to take advantage of the reversible feature though. Would you? In my opinion, the outside of a purse is in contact with so much that I wouldn't expose what's in my purse to it. And we all know that the inside of a purse is often ruined by pen marks, lipstick stains, etc. If I were to pick two, I'd get the expresso color in suede, just like Jennifer Aniston, or the gold metallic color for sunny days. Which one(s) would you pick?

it's delightful!

Louis Vuitton never ceases to amaze me. Their last purse is delightful, and appropriately named so. The Delighful Monogram GM is modern with its hobo shape, very roomy, and perfect for everyday wear. I love the two exterior zip pockets—practical and so trendy, and the flat leather handle; you'd think it doesn't matter, but it makes all the difference in the world when a purse gets heavy (and most of the time, it does). Looks like it's clutch season! One of my girlfriends got this fffabulous Tory Burch clutch for her birthday, and I had to borrow it even for two seconds to take a picture with it. I'm such a dork!

My girlfriends and I stopped by the Cole Haan store after a fffabulous day at the Spa the other day, and this luxurious clutch caught my eyes. This Cole Haan Estate Large Envelope Clutch is beautiful, elegant and timeless. In fact, it looks like a pricey python clutch, without the python part (the roccia snake print looks so good!!), and the high price tag. We like! This clutch is a true wardrobe essential you'll wear with many years!

another crush of mine

Lynn (a.k.a. llle LLLynn because she's fabuLLLous) went to Paris last year, and came back with a Gérard Darel python purse too. She got the metallic python purse in bronze, pictured here, and it's fffabulous! And I want it SO BAD!!! So much that I had to tell her to keep it away from me, or I would 'borrow' it on the spot. I did borrow it for a minute to take these pictures but I had to give it back... Doesn't it look like it belongs to me? Seriously!!

Btw, which color would you get? Natural python, or metallic python in bronze? DO TELL!

i heart gerard darel

I have been a Gérard Darel fffan for as long as I remember. I spent my first paycheck on one of their fffabulous jackets, and I drop the big bucks there each time I go to France. Imagine my surprise when I found out Angelina Jolie dressed there when she was pregnant with Vivienne and Knox. Now, that's fffabulous!!

Anyway, back to my fffabulous point. Gérard Darel makes the most fffabulous python bags too. They are classic yet modern, reasonably priced (for python), and perfect for everyday wear...and I don't own one yet. Cherchez l'erreur! My dear fffriend Fern was in Paris last month and got this Gérard Darel 24h Utah python bag there, joining Halle and Lindsay's club. In fact, her sister got one too, the exact same python purse! Isn't it absolutely fffabulous?? If I were you (or me), I'd save these €900 it costs, and add Gérard Darel to the list of things to do while in France next...

 

it's spring shopping time

I've always had a crush on the Louis Vuitton Galliera GM. One of my girlfriends wrote about her fffabulous Galliera GM in Monogram Canvas last year, and it was just a matter of time until I got one of my own—as soon as it got released in Damier Azur. I fell for this purse right away, went to the store a couple of times to touch it, size it and check out whether we were 'compatible', and we were! I finally bought it during my last trip to France and immediately got lots of stares from strangers and tons of 'wows' and 'drools' from my girlfriends. Need I say more? Well, what I like most about it is that it's different from any other purses you'll see around, and it is BIG yet manageable as an everyday purse because it is extra light and supple. A must-have for every day wear!

I'm also wearing the Sharon Segal Romance dress, the Devon Dowd Design hoops earrings and the Louis Vuitton aviator-style Conspiration sunglasses.

the perfect tote

I was in France last winter and all the women were carrying Louis Vuitton purses in Damier canvas. Well, I am a big fan of Louis Vuitton *anything* and its Monogram canvas, but I never dared to give the Damier canvas a try. This was until I saw a tall elegant woman carrying a Neverfull GM in Damier Canvas that looked just oh-so-fffabulous on her. I asked her how she liked it, and she told me she was in love with it and carries it everywhere. It seemed so practical and 'loveable', I had to have it...so I got it! And now, I can't live without it. It is extra light when empty, goes with any outfit whether you wear black, navy or brown colors, and it looks as great with a pair of jeans as it does with a suit. You can fill it up with groceries when you go to the Farmer's market or tighten the leather draw strings on each side for a more serious and 'contained' look. And I love love love the eye-catching striped red interior with the textile lining. So gorgeous!!

At first, I thought it would be pushing it a bit, but the more I look at this Thomas Wylde Skull Clutch, the more I want it. This leather clutch is just too adorable, and unique; you won't see it on anyone else except for a few celebrities like Sienna Miller, Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen Twins. But this isn't a problem, is it? And I love love love the center detail, a raised skull encrusted with rhinestones. Pretty!

I know I'd wear it all the time. In my purse as a pochette, at night as a clutch; and it is easy to slip in your suitcase when you travel. All in all, it has an edge but will still go with everything.

It's always good to realize it when you've made a great purchase! And it makes me think that it may as well be my next LV investment. Aaaaaah! "Now that I have FINALLY traveled, I am happy to say that my Louis Keepall 55 has been put into good use. I can fit a LOT of stuff in there: clothes, toiletries, hats (I prefer to bring hats in my carry-on to avoid bending them in my check-in luggage), books, electronics, other mini purses (which I also don't want to crease or bend up in my check-in), AND my laptop case (which is pretty bulky). That said, I am very thankful that I have the one with the shoulder strap, since it is an absolute necessity for the size of this bag and how much weight it can hold. It all depends on what you pack, however. I am not afraid to overstuff my Louis just because I know it won't fail on me—such as ripping, tearing, or having the zipper break. (Come on, now! Louis just DON'T do that!). But because of that, it can get a little heavy, but nothing that I can't handle (and I've traveled overseas with it). I also recommend it because it lets you max out the carry-on baggage limit; plus, you look pretty fly in the airport with it hanging on your shoulder ;-). what a fffabulous year!

fffabulous.com is celebrating it's one year anniversary of blogging about fashion, beauty, or other fffun stuff today, and, man, it's been such an amazing year! Or should I say it's been fffabulous?

First and foremost, I enjoyed shopping at romi boutique and BellaRosa boutique—just to name a few—to find the coolest and sexiest clothes and shoes around. It's been fun to tell you all about my fffashionista endeavors! I also want thank all of you for all your great comments (each and everyone one of them made my day and kept me going), as well as all of my friends who inspired me to try new things, such as fffabulous guy week (thanks Ivan!), fffabulous baby week (thanks Gauri and baby Arianna!), the fffaqs (thanks Bterkup and Hil!), and the ffface-a-ffface interviews (thanks Melanie!).

And I want to thank all of the fffabulous guestbloggers for sharing their very fffavorites: Miss Erica for her sense of humor and for being so passionate about anything Louis—Thanks lady! botkier for target® wristlet

This is the second time I heard about Botkier, and featured this brand on fffabulous.com. The first time, my friend Lisa was wearing those really cute metallic sandals with a black jumper. And now, Masami showed up to one of our dinner parties with the classiest wristlet, and it was from Botkier too! And when she told me where she got it (Target!) and how much she paid for it ($19.99!), I thought there might be some hope that, one day, I may do all of my shopping at Target, and buy an entire outfit for less than what I currently pay for one pair of jeans. That day may be in a very distant future though.

Back to this adorable metallic clutch...the Botkier for Target® Wristlet – Rose is totally fffabulous, with its pink metallic color (so in!), cotton lining and zip pocket; it'll look terrific during a night out with a pair of jeans or an all-black dress, or even on weekends with a more casual outfit to go to the grocery store. I also learned that Loeffler Randall did Loeffler Randall for Target® earlier this year. Loeffler Randall  happens to be my favorite shoe brand this winter. I may have to swing by Target more often from now on, and take a pick at their designer brands while shopping for home supplies.

fffabulous chanel surprise

I was nonchalantly browsing through all the designer stands at Neiman Marcus last weekend (like I don't know what I am getting myself into when I do that!!!), and, to my surprise, I noticed that the Chanel boutique carries the Chanel Chain Strap Purse (yes, the one Charlotte wears in the Sex and the City movie!!!). My friend Lisa got it in matte leather two years ago, and she wears it ALL the time. Nicky Hilton owns it too. And, as for me, I am very much in love with it. Of course, the price point is highly intimidating (about $2,800), but that's a Chanel purse: it's practical, ultra modern, resistant, and oh so classy. It also has a huge yet discreet Chanel logo on one side, which I love because, for that price, everyone better know it's a Chanel purse!!! Ha!

a fffabulous purse

I love checking out Gucci goodies at the Gucci store, whether it is downtown or at the international airport (duty free!). My girlfriends and I decided to go have a look at their purses and sunglasses before the Sex and the City screening (gotta get in the mood, you know?). At the store, I asked to try out the 'pelham' medium shoulder bag. One of my colleagues owns one, and I fell for it right when I saw it; it is such a lovely and classy purse! Although it is a Gucci purse —and you can see that it is one just by looking at the beautiful guccissima leather— it doesn't scream Gucci. Wow, can you believe I am actually saying this after owning so many Louis that do scream LV all over? I love this purse's egg-shell white color, not only because it won't get as easily dirty as a white white purse, but also because you can wear this purse with any outfit and even in wintertime. I know I would. This purse also has a very beautiful lining with shades of green, red and brown (the Gucci colors), and one of my girlfriends was wowed by just the lining itself.  And last but not least, it looks like it already belongs to me on the picture, doesn't it?
